The program
Guarantee:  Cancel during the first week and get a refund for the remainder of the program.
IF ECELA does not meet the quality promised, we will give you your money back.

Spanish Courses

• Well prepared Classes & Teachers.
• 2 - 8 students in group classes.
• You will be placed in a level depending upon your placement test. • 1-hour lesson is 50 minutes.
• Morning or afternoon classes depending on availability and the student’s level.
Housing

• Maximum distance of 35 minutes (by public transportation or by walking).
• Breakfast & dinner every day.
• Single or double room according to your booking.
• Middle-high class homestay depending the reality /economy of the country.

 

Activities & Excursions

• One free activity per week.
• Every week 3 activities (social, cultural, sport) including the free activity. • Every weekend one optional organized excursion for an additional fee.

Requirements for a Refund:
  • Attendance of the classes every day of the first week and attendance of at least one social activity.
  • For any inconvenience with any service students must to inform us in writing by email to program@ecelaspanish.com and wait up to 48 hours for a response to the situation.
Reduced Price for 1 Week of Group Classes
  • This offer is only valid for first time ECELA students.
First Day of Classes: 

Students Need to Know:
  • Classes may be in the morning or in the afternoon depending on the number of students and their Spanish levels.
  • The placement test takes place at 08:00 am on Monday.
  • The first Monday there is a welcome orientation lunch at 13:00hrs.
  • The arrival phone number support of the school.  

Classes:

  • In case the student asks for a different service than the one the agency booked, the student must have a voucher, invoice or any kind of documentation from the agency that explains the services they bought for you.
  • Spanish Level: The students will be placed in the level that the school determines after the placement test.
  • Level Test: To be approved to move to the next level students must score at least 75%. If the student scores below 75%, the second and last chance to move up a level is to take another test the next Monday at 08:00hrs and they will need to pass it with an 85% score.
  • The teachers may vary each week.
  • If a student loses the class textbook, they will need to buy a new one for USD $10.

Housing:

  • In order to match the housing correctly we need to know: age, gender, profession, and your approximate Spanish Level.
  • Special Requests: We need to know at least 21 days in advance any special requests that you might have, like a special diet, allergies, medical conditions, etc.
  • Check In: for program including accommodation, you must to send your flight arrival information two weeks prior to the start of the program.  If you do not send it, the Check In is by default between 16:00 - 18:00hrs.
  • If the student breaks the rules of their accommodation, they may be removed from the house without any refund.
CHANGE & CANCELLATION OF THE BOOKING BEFORE THE PROGRAM STARTS: 
ECELA reserves the right to charge an administrative fee of US$75 each time the course, accommodation or any other service is changed or postponed after the ECELA Booking Form has been submitted. This also includes requests for changes while the student is at the school. Requests should be made in writing two (2) weeks before the requested change or postponement.

Program Cancellation:
 
60 days or more: no fees
59 - 30 days U$100
29- 7 days U$200
6 days or less 50% will be charged. (max 2 week program)

Special Programs (Medical Shadowing, Internship, Volunteer): 
• Notice more than three months before the start date: no fee.
• Notice change less than three months before the start date: $75 (When possible, depending on school location.)
• Notice of cancellation less than three months before the start date: 
• Volunteer Program (when paid): $195
• Internship Program: $200
• Medical Shadowing: $200 

NOTES: 
Start date: the arrival date to the first location in which you are enrolled for our courses.

For cancellations made within two weeks before the program’s start date, there is a $100 penalty.
After a course has started there is no refund for any program or service, this includes full and/or partial cancellations. 

CANCELLATION AND CHANGES AFTER THE START DATE: 
Any request will be official only by email or by filling out our form.

CANCELLATIONS: 
• Programs are not refundable.
• Students arriving after the booked course starts will not be refunded for any unused portion.
• All programs are transferable to another person of your choice if you are not able to make the trip or finish your program. 

PROGRAM CHANGES:

Regular Spanish Programs

• FREE school location change. Notice in writing at least two weeks before.
• If you choose to change a part of or the entire scheduled program, we will refigure your invoice and you will be charged a $75 (US dollars) processing fee.
• If you choose to cancel your program, you are eligible for a 100% refund toward a future program, minus a $75 processing fee.  
• Any change or cancellation must be done with at least a 1-week notice.
• Any program change will depend on availability.

Additional Services of the Spanish Programs (Medical Shadowing, Internships, Volunteer): 
Special programs cannot be changed or cancelled after the start date. 

Cancellation of a course by the school:
 
• If the school has to cancel a course before the start date, the full amount received will be refunded.
• If the school has to cancel a course after the start date, the full amount of the remaining scheduled program will be refunded.
• If the school has to cancel the course due to breach of contract by the student, no payment will be refunded. 


NOTES: 
• Refunds will be issued by credit card or cash depending on how you paid for your program. In general, this process takes 5-7 business days.  

Payments:
  • Payment is due at least 2 weeks before the student’s arrival.
  • We reserve the right to apply interest on late payments and cancel all of the student’s future enrollments or running programs if the payment is not received on time.
  • Late payment might result in the reduction of future commissions and/or no admission of the student or cancelling of the current program.
  • Commission is not applied to the registration fee.
