The School
Our school is located in the neighborhood of Providencia, one of the best in Santiago.
It is the ideal location for your Spanish immersion, close to many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, cinemas and shops. Providencia is an upper-middle class neighborhood and is safe at all hours.
Our school is a large, comfortable, colonial-style buiding with a spacious patio where we enjoy our Fun Welcomes BBQ. We have 15 classrooms and several common areas with free wi fi and 6 computer for exclusive use for our students.
The school is centrally located, just a few minutes away from the subway, buses and our accommodation.
The staff at ECELA Santiago is profesional and extremelly friendy, will make you feel at home.

Excursions & Activities
3 activities with extra charge, student pay only the cost of the activity.
The most famous week activities: cooking classes, Salsa Dance, BBQ with students and friends, bike city tours, tarde de Mercados.
The most famous weekend excursions:
Valparaiso and Viña de Mar, Pucon - South trip, La Serena Trip, Pichilemu and surf class, treking + horse back riding + camping at the andeas, trip to las siete tazas. One day excursions: Rafting, treking al Glaciar el Morado, Isla Negra, cabalgata a la luz de la luna, Pomaire potery town, Treking to PN La Campana, ect.
HOUSING with ECELA Santiago
Our Homestay & shared apartment mostly are very close to the school.
The homestay offer single room, breakfast an dinner, Double room upon request.
The shared apartment option: we have a ECELA house, the students shared with 5 to 12 other ECELA students, in the high seasson we also place students with local host. The shared apartment option: The most of our students stay at ECELA House that is only 3 blocks away from the school, is a large house with patio and common areas with 12 bedtrooms and wi fi.

First day at the school:
Placement Test: 8:00 am
Class Time: 9:00 or 14:00 depending on your placement test.
Note: Class time is assigned according to placement test. Your class schedule may change during your course.
13:00 hrs Welcome snack and orientation. The staff will welcome you at the school.
Activities & excursions: Every week the school organizes four activities. At least one activity is free while the others are economic.
Airport pick up:
If you book airport (shuttle van) pick up through Ecela you will need to go to the TransVIP counter which is located right before the custom exit and also they have a stand a stand right out the coustum.
Show your name and the address of your housing.
IMPORTANT: Avoid taxis, the service that we offer is a shuttle van with Trans Vip you need to go to the counter of TRANSVIP - Some time taxi drivers says, yes we are Trans vip and charge large amount of money.

1. TransVIP operates 24hrs
2. DO NOT accept a ride from someone claiming (not at the counter) to work with TransVip or from another taxi driver.
3. Remember to have your accommodation’s address available at all times for the driver.
4. Check-in for accommodation at all locations is available upon request, if you do not inform us 72hrs before of your arrival time, open check-in is between 4pm and 6pm.
