The School
Our school is located in the neighborhood of Recoleta, one of the finest in Buenos Aires.
It is an ideal location for your Spanish immersion; close by are many restaurants, bars, cafes, attractive parks, museums, movie theaters and shops. Recoleta is an upper-middle class neighborhood and is safe at all hours.
Our school building is constructed in the traditional porteño style with wood stairs and mosaic floors.
There are 18 classrooms and several common areas with free Internet access where our students can
enjoy breaks. The school is centrally located, only a few minutes away from the subway, buses and
student housing.

Excursions & Activities
4 activities & excursion per week, 1 free activity per week, student pay only the cost of the activity
The most famous week activities: cooking classes, Salsa / Tango Dance, Santelmo, Caminito, bike city tours, tarde de Mercados, teatros, Diner shows.
The most famous weekend excursions: Iguazu Falls, Cordoba, Carnaval de gualeguaychu, Montevideo, Colonia Uruguay, trekking & camping.
One day excursions: Dia de estancia, kayak en el Delta del Parana, Colonia Uruguay, Cabalgatas, Famous Futbol match.
HOUSING with ECELA Buenos Aires
Our Homestay are in the mos safe and famous neighborhood: Palermo, Recoleta and Barrio Norte
Buenos Aires is a large city with differents areas, be in a safe part of the city is very important.
The homestay offer single room and breakfast an dinner, Double room upon request.
The shared apartment option: we have three ECELA houses in Buenos Aires, the students shared with 2 to 12 other ECELA students, in the high seasson we also place students with local host.
You will be assigned in a middle-high class housing.
Please show your education and respect for the rules of the family or students at shared apartments. If you need assistant with you accommodation, wait until Monday to talk with the housing coordinator.

First day at the school:
Placement Test: 8:00 am
Class Time: 9:00 or 14:00 depending on your placement test.
Note: Class time is assigned according to placement test. Your class schedule may change
during your course.

If you book airport taxi pick up through Ecela you will need to go to the VIP Car counter which is
located right before the custom exit. Tell your name and show the address of your housing.
IMPORTANT: once you exit the taxi counters area you will not be able to return. If you go too far by accident, please proceed to the meeting point “Punto de Encuentro”, where someone will assist you in
contacting VipCar.

1. Vip Car and Transfer Lubre operates 24hrs
2. DO NOT accept a ride from any other company (not at the counter) or from another taxi driver.
3. Remember to have your accommodation’s address available at all times for the driver.
4. Check-in for accommodation at all locations is available upon request, if you do not inform us 72hrs before of your arrival time, open check-in is between 4pm and 6pm.
5. If your flight is late (more than 90 minutes) please call us to re-organice your check in.
