Santiago, Chile or Bariloche, Argentina
With Santiago sitting at the foot of the Andes, the capital city provides great access for local skiing and snowboarding opportunities.  Nearby peaks rise to over 5,000 meters (19,000 feet), giving the city a remarkable backdrop.
Bariloche, known as the Aspen of Argentina, has a small resort-town atmosphere, with cafes, restaurants, and bars providing gathering points after a day on the slopes.
The Spanish & Ski package includes two weekly lift tickets plus transportation (door-to-mountain).  One ticket during the week and another on the weekend.

Spanish Immersion Course

Yes.  However, you will receive two private hours/week to review missed material.

How far away are the ski resorts from Santiago?
The two nearby resorts are both 45-60 minutes from the center and are easily reached by frequent shuttles.

How close is the Chilean coast?
You may also easily visit the coast - two hours in the opposite direction of the Andes.

I am a university student.  Is it possible to receive credits for the Spanish course?
Most universities will allow you to substitute our programs for similar university classes.  For a list of typical substitions, click here.

How is the local nightlife?
Like most large South American cities, Santiago has a vibrant nightlife - bars and dance clubs are active Tuesday through Saturday.  Bariloche, a very popular tourist destination for Argentines and foreigners, also has many bars and restaurants.

What is the weather like?
June through September is the South American winter, however it very rarely is cold enough to snow in Santiago, although snow-caps are visible from the city year-round.

How safe is the city?
Santiago is the safest large city in Latin America, with crime rates far lower than any comparable North American city.  In most neighborhoods, you will feel safe at all hours.
